Joe Fresh at Toronto Fashion Week
We often scoff at Joe Fresh showing at Toronto Fashion Week, but someone pointed out to me that they actually enjoyed the Joe Fresh shows because they could look at the clothes and know that they could afford them and actually wear something from this particular runway.
I liked this realistic view, and it's an especially apt one this season, as Joe Fresh showed a remarkably cute and wearable fall collection.
Tweed shorts, high-fashion sweatpants, black wool pouf-skirts, and knit-dresses with big cowl-necks would be perfect fall staples, while the gold paillette sweaters and sequined tops would be great going-out wear at perfect prices.
Even the bright-pink angora plaid pieces were kinda fun, despite their Clueless feel.
That's the thing with Joe Fresh: they always bring the fun. And that's nothing to scoff at.
