Cheri Milaney Makes Me Want to Dance
Cheri Milaney's clothing isn't really my cup of tea. I know, her clientele is older, but I don't ever see my mother wanting to pick up any of these pieces. That said, her show yesterday under the tents at LG Fashion Week had a great score courtesy of DJ Vaneska. I actually danced a little bit, much to the amusement of those around me.

Hey there....great to see Cheri Milaney's photos on your blog...but I must say I can't agree with you that her fashions are for an 'older' woman...I think she crosses generations with her style...sophisticated,yes....feminine....and classic, but old? I think not! There's more to her than her great score choices!
I have to agree with Skye, Cheri Melaney does not design for the "older woman". If you in fact if you listen or read any of her interviews, what she always states is the complete concept of her clothing design is for the real woman, those who are wearing and buying the clothing. She does not say so, but I will, she is not designing for the 6 foot, 90 pound, 13 year old model who will never purchase an article of clothing from a designer such as Ms. Melaney.
That being said, I was disappointed in the 2009 fall collection. It simply did not measure up on color, fabric, cut, or eye appeal. Not Ms. Melaney's best, but I have loved her past creations, and those to come that I am sure will be fabulous. Very proud of Cheri for placing real women, instead of models on the runway. Way to go! One huge step, but then again you always have been first on many levels.
Cheri, from the conversations we shared of projected futures where we stated we would never wear sweat pants after we were married, up until today, I am routing for you, and have yet to put on the sweat pants! Proud of you.
