Aime Keeps it Simple at Toronto Fashion Week

AimeAime designer Monica Mei helped me find the perfect dress for my very own escape to the Mediterranean this past summer. I wore the Aime Japanese silk gala dress in navy to a wedding, and have never felt anything so comfortable. After having such a great experience with her, I was adamant to grab a seat at her show yesterday. It featured music by DJ Vaneska, head pieces by Lara Vincent and jewelry by Psalms 91:1.

The sounds waves crashing against the shore from Fred Falke's "Last Wave" signaled the beginning of the show. The collection was soft and calm with a few pieces and accessories for pop factor. "Ohhh, I love love those gold shorts!" said a woman sitting near me.

Aime's pieces for SS10 were simple, even when accessorized. The polka dot sheer tops were cute, and the clothes looked comfortable. Evening wear showed darker colours and most pieces were constructed in Aime's usual cut and fit (including an appearance of the gala dress in black). SS10 also featured a collection of sustainable luxury travel bags made by Red Scarf Equestrian.

The Fred Falke song you're talking about is 8:08 At The Beach. It's most softer than the beats of Last Wave.
