Video: Ryerson School of Fashion at LG Fashion Week
Sadly, the runway show for the Ryerson School of Fashion was somewhat sparsely attended this afternoon. An early timeslot was part of the problem, but the bigger culprit is the lack of respect (and interest) given by local media and fashion industry insiders. Oh well, they missed out. Here's the video:

I am a Ryerson alumni and a fan, as well as a "local media/industry insider", but I received no invitation or notification of this event. I emailed multiple people looking for a place to RSVP and found no help. My name was not on the list so I couldn't access the tents for the show.
Ryerson's PR for the show was abysmal - nothing google-able, late invitations to editors (like the day before), and I heard they were even trying to charge people for tickets. I love my old school, but they dropped the ball on publicizing the show, PR was an afterthought. That's why it was poorly attended. Nothing to do with "a lack of respect".
