Fashion Week
In Photos: Betsey Johnson Fashion Show + DJ Princess Superstar
Brant House was PACKED with girl everything Tuesday night. But that is the sort of the thing you have to expect when you're dealing with anything related to ultra-girlygirl designer Betsey Johnson. Of course Betsey wasn't around and it wasn't a breaking new collection or anything, but that didn't stop the place from getting full of people who love poofy dresses, flowers and a subtle bit of punk fun. (How about the cardigan with the hand gun on the back? cute.)
The show was an hour late, good thing I rushed there in a cab. Though all in all it was a good show. Superstar came out first in pink-poofy regalia, the models danced down the runway sporting candy props and flower patterns.
Everyone ate it up.

Canadian singer Lights was there, lovin' Betsy, and with her: Toronto Label owner Mark Spicoluk of Underground Operations.

I have to say, I was a fan of Mark's "Moon Shoes." Lights's shoes were just black, borinnnnnnng. haha.
I guess i expected neon or something.

Princess superstar started spinning right after the show. Thought: Princess Superstar, average Dj, above average name.

I love fashion week, I love Betsey Johnson but what i saw and what i experienced at this fashion show was a sad case of drunken fools at a birthday party. My smoke lasted longert than the fashion show. I regreted and was displeased when I left. Satisfied like a one night stand; having the thrill when one is lured, disgusted when one wakes up. I couldn't shake it nor could I get back my time and efforts for that night. To my friends, cousins, co-workers who had to share this experience, my condolences as for the "wish i was part of the scene" has died. I will support other talents, fashion may be included, but I will never be able to look at fashion week, the Brant house and Betsey Johnson with awe...
