This Week In Theatre: March 21-27

Posted by Jack / March 21, 2007

Here are this weeks picks of shows to check out that, love em or hate em, you'll have to have something to say about.

Les Belles Soeurs - One of Michel Tremblay's most famous works about working-class sisters gets a rare staging at the York Fine Arts Theatre Festival. Runs Mar 23, 28 and 29 at 7 pm, mats Mar 23, 24 and 28 at York University .

John And Beatrice - Tarragon Theatre's extra space hosts many of its most intimate shows. It is often at its best when theatre is like this and the performances are worth it alone. A dark comedy played out like a fairy-tale romance. Runs to Mar 24.

The Phantom of the Opera - Every theatre goer should see this one at least once to either bash it or praise it. I personally couldn't stand it but I know how important it was and can appreciate its place in theatre lore. Tell me what you think. Runs to Jun 3, at the Princess of Wales Theatre.
