The New World Stage Festival is presenting another of its intense drama's that, from its description, sounds really really good. Here's that one plus a couple of others that seem like they could be quite interesting both downtown and uptown.

Aalst by Pol Heyvaert - This newest offering from the New World Stage Festival is called a Faction play by its theatre company ( a mix of fact and fiction). Aalst tells the true story of a couple in Belgium that murdered their children and shocked the nation. Limited run... so run. Opens Mar 14 and runs to Mar 17.

Lucy - Damien Atkin's new piece about an autistic teen. Runs to Apr 14, at the Berkeley Street Theatre , 26 Berkeley.Canstage

York Fine Arts Festival - As an alumni of the theatre program at York I can hardly resist the opportuntiy to promote these strong works. This showcase of student works features dance, film, art and theatre, including The Ashley Plays: Snakes & Ladders and others. Runs to Apr 1.York Fine Arts
