Theatre Picks: Jan 27 - Feb 3

This week's theatre scene got bolstered by the opening of the The New World International Stage Festival. There is plenty to be excited about and here are a few of the many options out there:

Chimera by Wendy Lill. Great acting and 'West Wing like' pacing makes this political and moral chess game feel quicker than its 2 hour time. Runs to Feb 11 at Tarragon Theatre

DollHouse. This adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's A Doll's House, by American company Mabou Mines, is a bizzare and exciting take on the classic tale of male domination. Played, litterally, in a Doll's House the play is a powerful visual piece that makes use of every aspect of the theatre. Runs to Feb 4 at the The New World International Stage Festival
