Massive Pokemon Go meetup planned for Toronto

Pokemon Go hasn't even been released yet in Canada, but Toronto's streets are already filled with trainers working hard to catch 'em all.

From a so-called lure party in Yonge-Dundas Square to Toronto-specific Pokemon Go crowd-sourced map and Facebook group, it's safe to say that our city has Poke fever.

And while many of us have already downloaded the augmented reality game, some are probably waiting for the Canadian release. And when that happens, one group is planning a big party, or rather a meet up, at the CN Tower.

"On the night of release (TBD), let all of us trainers gather at our greatest icon (and gym) to help ring in the official start of our new Pokemon adventure together," reads the Facebook event description.

However, one of the organizers tells us that even though the event says it's on July 31, that's not the official Canadian release date - it has yet to be announced. So if you haven't already gotten started, stay tuned because soon you'll be traveling across Toronto, searching for and wide for Pokemon.
