If you want your dog or cat groomed to be in Canada's Next Top Pet, go to Timmie's Leslieville. They have the best groomer in the city! Tyra will agree.

We love to go to see Paul with our Border Terrier Lulu. Paul is so friendly and remembers Lulu's and our names. He's a real friend and an asset to Leslieville's business profile. Lawrence (Sp?) is the best groomer we can find - he knows how to strip Lulu's coat to make her look like a dog-show winner instead of a shaggy ragamuffin.

Great Place!!! Paul the owner not only runs a great shop but is great in the community. My wife was/is raising money for the lukemia and lymphoma society and he offered his store and support over the holidays so folks could have pictures of their dogs with Santa. We will never go anywhere else but this shop on that basis alone. The fact his product and staff rock is even more of a bonus!

The Queen West store is great. George is a sweetheart and always gives my Buster a free treat. Grooming is great, the only downside is that its busy so call ahead to make sure they have space. Timmie rocks!
I would highly recommend Lawrence as a top notch groomer.
He is wonderful with dogs and creates magic with a pair of scissors in his hands.
If you want your dog to look picture perfect, have Lawrence groom your dog.
He is a great asset to Timmies.
Lawrence is a state-of-the-art groomer and a great asset to Timmies.
If you want your dog to look picture perfect have Lawrence groom your dog. He creates magic with a pair of scissors in his hands and is wonderful to the dogs.
I would highly recommend Lawrence. Timmies is very fortunate to have him.

My name is Tiffany and I am the newest dog groomer with Timmie Doggie Outfitters. I thought this might be a good way for me to introduce myself.

I am formally a mental health and disabilities youth worker. I spent seven years in this field before making the decision to begin my work with dogs. I have volunteered and worked for many animal welfare groups in previous years, and always found having the opportunity to work with dogs extremely rewarding.

Two years ago I decided to enroll in a professional dog grooming program for fun. In my off hours of work I began volunteering at a very posh grooming salon. In less than a year I was offered a full time position as a professional groomer.

I began working with Paul at the Queen East location of Timmie Doggie Outfitters in March of this year. I greatly enjoy my work with all dogs that come to the store. I love the opportunity it has presented for me to be creative.

I would be happy to answer any questions anyone might have regarding the care of their pet. I have two dogs of my own (a four year old yorkie mix and a five month old bernese mountain dog) and empathize with how much people love their pets and want to see them treated gently.
Please feel free to visit in Leslieville. I am always happy to meet new clients.

Ever since I got my puppy 3 years ago I always took him to Timmie's on Leslieville for grooming. Even after their great groomer Lawrence left to open his own shop, out of loyalty I still went there. Lawrence may have been late some times but he always gave my Springer Spaniel a great groom. The other day after being away for a while I took my dog for his grooming and they told me they have this great groomer "Tiffany". So I explained and explained and explained to her how I wanted the cut and even showed him pictures of his previous grooms, and she said she got it. 3 hours later I go to pick up y dog, Paul the owner doesn't let me see my dog first, ignores me when I tell him I can hear his cries, and insists that I pay. The dog comes, he is everything I asked Tiffany not to do. He was shaved so short and the shave was ridiculously uneven and to top it all off his ears were not clean. So my wife and I brought it to Paul's attention and he kept refusing that this is not the cut we asked for. He was rude, unprofessional and kept screaming at my wife and I that he didn't want our business anymore. He shouted at us saying he didn't want our money, but when we asked him to charge back our visa, he had the audacity to accuse us of wanting a free groom!!! After 3 years!! Then he went further and called the police and his lawyer trying to intimidate us.

My wife asked him why he is calling the police since he was paid and we were the one with the complaint? He just went on rambling and yelling. We were SHOCKED to say the least. First he said to wait there for the police but then he kicked us and the dog out in the scorching 40 C degrees weather to wait there.

We have never been insulted like that in our lives. It is hard to believe what people would do for $100!!! I have pictures of the grooming they did, horribly uneven.

This is Lawrence and I'm just informing the posts that I've relocated to a bigger space. It's around the corner from the old space at 120 Sherbourne St. (in front of the Modern Condo).

See you soon!

Long story short,... but still very long:
Maral and her husband comes in with their dog Hemingway to get their dog groomed. We have a detailed conversation on what she wanted done to her dog. And we agreed on the style that Tiffany was going to provide.

We call Maral after we had completed the groom. Hemingway looked fantastic! Her husband comes in and thanks Tiffany for such a great job. 2 min later, Maral walks in very upset with her husband. She doen't like the cut, apparently because the feathers were too short on the dogs legs. Then her husband turned on us and told us how bad the groom was,... I was blown away at him and his comment after he left thanking us so much. So I tell him, but you told us how you loved the groom? He replies infront his wife that he never told us that,...

I tell Maral that we are sorry that we didn't meet her expectations and we will work towards a groom that she'd like in the future. And we would have given her a discount on a perfectly beautiful groom that Tiffany had performed. But she didn't want that,...

She wanted a free groom. At first I was going to give her back the moneys,... but I decided that it's not fair for Tiffany, our groomer. Tiffany worked so hard and made Hemingway beautiful. And because Mural didn't like a small detail,... and she goes on to complain how the dog was horribly uneven. I have never seen a dog leave that is uneven at my shop. And if the haircut was uneven, we would have taken their dog back and fixed it. If her dogs ears were not cleaned by mistake, we would have re-cleaned it. But that was not the case. Maral is making things up to taint our business.

Timmies is 'THE BEST' dog store in Toronto!
I love all their unique products they carry and also the owner is super friendly and informative. We were very happy with the grooming service as well.

NEVER TAKE YOUR DOG HERE. Worst groomers - they injured my dogs. That's what you get for going to a place that maks you sign a release form in case your dog gets injured. Read the reviews, dogs frequently get injured there. I don't know how they are still in business. If you love your dogs, take them to Spawboutique instead, they are great.

I'd first like to state that I do not work for Timmies. I've actually never even been in the establishment. I am however, a Groomer who has worked in a nearby neighbourhood for five years and I would like to say that I have NEVER heard a single bad thing about Timmies or thier grooms. Unfortunatlty most people are ignorant regarding what it takes to groom your sweet little puppy. The same puppy that bites, scraches, wiggles and is full of neves. And Rightfully so! Not to mention the "miracles" customer's expect Groomer's to preform when they bring a dog in that hasnt been groomed in 6 months and is full of matting and then stress that they do not want the dog "shaved". Which is would actually more humane then brushing and dematting for hours. Just a hint: Try maintaining your pup at home but brushing, weekly and you could have that fantastic cut that you saw at the park. Grooming is a tough job that's hard on your body and extreamly stressful but we do it because WE LOVE animals. No Groomer intends to hurt or nick a dog and every dog is done to the best of our abilities with love and care. However, the most experienced Groomer may still make mistakes on thier moving canvas. We use sharp tools like scissors and accidents happen. This is NOT a reason not to pay for a SERVICE you have been provided. Dog ownwers are the worst part of this industry and bring with them thier lack of knowledge and unrealistic expectations. Not to mention their complaints that they then put on social websites and then spread vicious rumours at dogparks. Try being gentle, kind and grateful to your Groomer and I promise you they will always do thier best.
As a side note.... Spawboutique is aweful, not the groomers but the owner. She is more interested in being on TV and running dogs in and out like they are on a convayer belt. They do up to 30 dogs a day and its just to make a buck. She treats her employee's like slaves and pays them well under the average expecting them to do over 10 dogs and work 12-14 hrs a day. Again, I've never worked there but have talked to numerous ex employee's of Eve's. Ever wonder why you only see the girl at the front or Eve herself? It's all about the appearences and the man behind the curtain. Upstairs in a whole different story.
In closing I suggest BEFORE you get a dog, know what it takes to maintain thier coats and if they need regular grooming find someone in your area that a friend/nieghnour/family member has referred. Someone you like and can communicate well with.

Timmie's is one of our favourite stores to visit, we shop at both locations and use their grooming services several times a year and have always left happy. The staff are pleasant and helpful, and the groomer at the Queen West location is fantastic! She is calm and can handle my small dog, who I am sure is not cooperative when it comes time for his wash and cut, but he leaves looking great every time. I was surprised to read the negative comments and thought it was important to share my positive one as well.

We brought our puppy here for his first grooming. Tiffany, the groomer, was really great with him. He looked terrific afterwards and perfectly happy when I went to pick him up. It's been a few weeks now and his cut is still holding up. We're definitely bringing him back.
