Hit cameraHit Camera is located on Avenue Road just south of the 401, not exactly a photography-rich retail zone. But who cares? I got a superb deal on a floor-model Nikon D300 a couple years back that I initially spotted on Ebay (where they have an active e-store). Stock levels don't compare to the big boys downtown, but the prices are good and the Karsh photo gallery in the back of the store is almost worth the visit in and of itself.

The owner needs better customer service skills.

True hit camera does not stock a lot of current stuff if you need something the owner Shelton Chen will order it for you and the price is the best I have seen in town I have got my D800 there for less than all the big name store in Toronto and if you looking for use camera gear that is the place for you as the owner go oversea to photographic fair often he been during used gear since 1987 and have lot of collectible cameras in stock do come by and check his stock his stock change often he also have a listing on kijiji used item for sale and lastly his Yousuf Karsh collection is the best and the largest in the world.

I heard from the neighbors when i went to get something there that they skipped out on their lease and moved to Markham.
Good riddance. They had horrible service anyways.

I have always had great experience buying from Hit Camera, especially hard to find second hand gear. The owner Shelton Chen has been doing it since 1987 and he is possibly the most knowledgeable guy that i know when it comes to used and 2nd hand gears. I was looking for M8 used and the best deal was from Hot Camera at $1650 for a gently used M8.
