Cyclepath's folks are amazing and so underrated compared to other local bike shops. Last year I had a number of problems with my Dahon folding bike, problems that neither Urbane Cyclist nor Dukes - the two specialists in selling and repairing Dahon/folding bikes - could figure out and in one case, even made worse. Also unlike those other two shops, where repair wait times can stretch on with no clear end in sight, Cyclepath fixed it THE VERY DAY I brought it in. AND as if that wasn't happy-making enough, they were cheaper than their initial estimate. It's been fine and dandy ever since. Please give them a try - they're worth the trip!

Easily one of the best, and one of the most underrated, bike stores in the city. The staff is helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. Bought a couple of folding bikes from them a few months back and keep going back to buy accessories.

Best bike shop I've been too. Took my bike in to see if I could get the rear brakes modified with a different caliper bracket. Turns out my bike has non-standard brakes so a simple bracket swap wasn't possible. However, the brakes specialist offered to modify my current bracket. He got it all in working order and it cost much less than I thought they would charge. They also kept me well informed by calling me before they did anything to my bike that I didn't know about(like when they phoned to ask if I wanted my current bracket modified). Oh and almost forgot they got this done the same day.

Do the BlogTO people actually research these ratings, or do they just list a bunch of random places distributed throughout the city? I dealt with CyclePath once for a repair, and I'd never deal with them again. They kept putting me off for almost three weeks, and still didn't get the repair done. I finally just asked for my bike back and left in disgust. I ended up going back to where I bought the bike years ago -- Fred Sports on Kingston Road -- and the repair was done the next day. I wouldn't recommend CyclePath at all, and will never go back there again.
