Beach Toyz is a smart store in The Upper Beaches where, as affable owner John Helfrich says, "everything is for sale or rent."

Would-be beachgoers who find themselves unprepared for the day will be happy this place exists; all manner of beach supplies can be found here (with the exception of apparel like bathing suits - if you forget that, he can't help you), ready to save the day: towels, umbrellas, collapsible water bottles, floater mats, hypoallergenic sunscreen and even fat tire all-terrain bikes.

What the shop specializes in though are stand-up paddle (SUP) boards, which became trendy a few years back. Helfrich rents and sells both rigid and inflatable ones, plus all the accessories needed to go along with them. He says he has the lowest prices in the GTA, and is willing to price match to back up his claim.
