A good bet for brunch in The Beach, Whitlock's features a brunch buffet on Sundays. Good for pancakes and waffles.

I used to live in the Beaches and a friend of mine was visiting me from out of town. I'm a strict vegetarian and she was craving steak, so we set out on foot in search of a place that would accommodate both of us. I was delighted by Whitlock's - all I had was a salad and some of their incredible freshly-baked bread, and a nice glass of wine, and my friend had her steak, which was a T-bone feature of the day. She was very happy with her meal. The atmosphere is very warm and inviting, and our waiter was very kind. Thanks to Whitlock's for helping me treat my companion to a great dinner!

The Sunday Brunch Buffet is lovely, especially the custom made omelets, and waffles with freshly made cream and blueberries. The only thing I would change would be the fact that coffee isn't included in the brunch price, and for two brunches + 2 coffees it costs around $40. Despite that, I've yet to find better brunch food anywhere else in the city and I crave their brunch buffet regularly.

Best brunch in the Beaches. Hands down! Prime rib station and omelettes made to order. Can you ask for anything more? I'm going this Sunday and can't wait! :)

I have never received such bad service. My husband and I tried to eat there for dinner mid week with our out-of-town guest last week. The waitress took 20 minutes to take our order. When asked what the red wines were, she threw the wine menu at us and went to serve another table who arrived after us. She didn't come back to take our drink order (not to mention meal order) for another 10 minutes. When we got up and left, she was unapologetic and was actually quite rude, telling us 'they were closing soon anyways.' We went across to the Green Eggplant and had an amazing meal and service.

I hope you gave this heathen server a two cent tip, which is twice what she deserves.
