GiancarloTrattoria Giancarlo is a favourite destination for Italian food in Little Italy. The restaurant has recently expanded with a new, contemporary look and stunning College St. entrance.

The best!

Some of my favorite food in the city. Gnocci and Beef Carpaccio are are unrivaled anywhere else.

What a great dinner and excellent service! The staff could not have been more accommodating and the food was scrumptious. Recommend the Carpaccio and the Bruscheta as starters. The Risotto is worth the half hour wait so enjoy your company!

I agree the carpaccio is definitely unrivaled as is the steak and the chocolate cake.
My absolute favourite restaurant in the city.

Great food, but probably the worst service I have ever encountered in 5 years living in Toronto. The guy serving us was rude and actually offended people at our table - and we are not a sensitive bunch! As I said, the food was good which made up for things a little but honestly, the service was so shockingly bad that I would NEVER go back again and I would NEVER recommend this to anyone. He literally would not tell us the price of the wine, despite asking him 3 times...he forgot starters, he forgot drinks, he mocked someone for eating a 'whole starter to yourself' (and it wasn't in a jokey/friendly way!). Just terrible - actually ruined what was shaping up to be a great night until we stepped foot into this place. Never again.

Agree with CR about the service. After 15 minutes of borderline abuse from the snooty/flaky service we upped and
left for a place that wanted our business.
Kinda cute when those who serve food for a living attempt to talk down to those who paid attention in school :)
