The Independent (Oakwood)
The Independent may sound like an English newspaper, but it is actually an interesting mix of live indie-music lounge and bar. The food selection is pretty thin, mostly consisting of nachos, burgers, fries, and other bar food. The opening hours are very inconsistent, which may make planing your visits a little trickier than most. It does offer inexpensive beer and karaoke events, though.
