Thai Princess
Thai Princess has been a stalwart on King West for the past 13 years. Their phad thai is always made the same way thanks to the owner who is the only one authorized to make the special sauce. Butterfly shrimp atop wonderfully shiny rice noodles, along with the requisite chicken, fried tofu and peanut make this the kind of phad thai most people love and know.

arg now im craving it
Their pad thai is amazing. Not surprised it's on the list for Best Pad Thai in Toronto, though I am surprised it ranked 11th.
There was another entree I liked but for the life of me I can't remember what it was called, it was essentially vegetables, thin noodles and a garlic sauce. Delicious though.
They also have a dessert with coconut and chocolate wrapped in some kind of pastry and it's pretty yummy too.
The fancy interior is sort of funny when compared to the cheap prices. It looks really upscale inside but they don't expect their clientele to dress up or anything.
I think it's a great place to take a date. I've only gone there with my gals but now that I think about it, I'm going to take my boyfriend there this weekend!
Oh! You can also walk-in and order something for take-out. Usually takes about 10 mins but you can kill time at Timothy's or Shoppers across the street.
I give it a 5 out of 5 rating.
