1. I had made a reservation. When it got time to choosing from the menu, I was told that most of the menu was unavailable and only the breakfast items were available because it was mother's day. I hadn't been told this in advance. Because I was excited to try their popular chicken and equally popular bread pudding, this was the first disappointment.

2. The service was very slow. Although there were only 2 tables waiting, it took forever for the food to arrive. For the first time in my life I had to ask the server how long the food would take.

3. The actual food was quite mediocre. There are several other affordable restaurants in the area and Mainsha is a far superior West Indian restaurant.

This place is cool and will build a name for itself. You can tell the chef puts a lot into his meals which is why the wait is well worth it. The stuff plantain was the most filling plantain I have ever had.

Sorry, anyone who says that "Mainsha is a far superior West Indian restaurant" can't have experienced much. If it's speed you're looking for, then yes, Mainsha, the fast food restaurant, will satisfy your needs, but if it's quality you're looking for, then look no further than Room Service. The chef takes care to present every dish immaculately, and imho that kind of quality is worth the wait.
