ORO treated us with repect despite our club attire and street shoes. Was a great night of celebrating after my first DJ gig in Toronto. I Moved here a few weeks ago and I am loving it!

My meal for the night was the Cornmeal crusted Provimi Sweetbreads... popped in my mouth! The presentation on the plates were very artistic. Of course they do this often but to do it consistantly must be difficult! Soft and tender, they were cooked just right! I also decided upon their reccomendation of red wine, the Valpolicella.

Its easy to feel like a professional in the environment they have set up here. Everything looks spotless. They are clean, no food particles on the floor, the tables were spotless (not even a water mark). Our waiter had on a very well put together outfit. It felt like Royalty!

Overall, this restaurant is upperclass fine dining. Well priced for the quality and attention to detail!

I was surprised to find out a few great things about ORO.

Firstly, the menu is incredible. Very well done and select. It is not simple to change a menu like this often and they seem to do it quite well changing it slightly from time to time.

Secondly, the service was superb. Extremely polite, professional and courteous staff! I was very happy to see this kind of service and attention to my satisfaction.

I went ahead and ordered for myself and my long time friend before she arrived. Moments after she did, the food had come, and as the food passed from behind her, to the table, I could see a look on her face of joy and pleasure! The expression on her face matched the smells! I had ordered the house made venison ravioli for her, and the sheep's milk ricotta gnocchi for me. We are both a couple of chatters, so we stayed long after to finish out our 3rd glasses of 2005 Shiraz.

Great experience over all. I think I'm writing this more so because of the impression that my friends expression left on me, as it was her first experience at ORO. My fifth. So, naturally, when I say a place is amazing, she usually follows, as I do her when she knows the hot spots or good eats!
