Oishii Japanese Restaurant & Bar
Oishii Japanese Restaurant & Bar has taken over from Kaiseki Sakura which never seemed to get much traction for its high-end Japanese cuisine. While the look of the restaurant may not have changed that much, the menu now places a much bigger emphasis on raw fish.

Went in, it was completely quiet. Got our menus and waited 30 MINUTES. 4 groups of asian teenagers came in [we were 4 white adults], they get served first. We try and get someone to take our orders, they sneer and scoff and serve the newcomers. We wait AN HOUR before someone comes over relunctantly. We wait ANOTHER HOUR for our food, only to have TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE FOOD POISONING. I'm still throwing up [this was last night, hallowe'en] and we weren't being offensive or anything. Either they RRRRREEALLY don't know how to prepare their food, or they did something to it.
Want good sushi and proper service? My money is with Hosu on Queen and John.
