Ni-Ji Sushi

Posted by Staff / Listed on September 17, 2011 / review policy

Niji SushiNi-Ji Sushi looks like one of those monster sushi joints from the outside, but the dining room is actually quite small and intimate. You'll definitely get the most bang for your buck here during lunch time, where you can get chicken teriyaki for $6.95, 10 pieces of salmon sashimi for $9.95, and other combination specials for under $10. Besides the obvious Japanese fare, Ni-Ji has a few Korean options on its menu including bibimbap, gal bi, and bulgogi.

BEST sushi place ever~!!!
If you eat here, it will ruin your ability to go elsewhere forever!!!!
Freshest sushi. You will notice the difference in the fish quality. Not like other places where their speciality is rolls - old fish seasoned. They only serve fresh fresh fish. Love it there every time.

MOST KOREAN sushi place ever~!!!
If you eat here, it will ruin your ability to live longer forever!!!!
Freshest Balgi. You will notice the difference in the beef quality. Not like other places where their speciality is Bulagi - old carcass seasoned. They only serve fresh fresh cow. Love the Korean food there every time.

As soon as someone says BEST ______ EVER I can guarantee you they have zero idea what they are talking about.

Ni-Ji is actually a really good sushi restaurant. Service is quick and friendly, its clean and the food is good especially for the price. A solid restaurant all around.

I had the opportunity to have lunch there and ordered one of the bento boxes. It was a combination of sushi and korean dishes. The ingredients used were fresh and the seasoning was appropriate. The meal was satisfactory, but unspectacular. I agree with previous comments that this restaurant provides good value for your money.

As a hilarious and unrelated commentary, this sushi restaurant is owned and operated by Koreans, as are almost all other sushi restaurants in Toronto. The rest are owned and operated by Chinese.

Seems like Niji had a fire May 1, 2015 and the sign states it will be closed indefinitely. Really hope not as this was my go to spot for sushi in Scarborough. Open late and never had any problems with any of my orders ever. Always a generous portion and fresh food. I really hope they reopen.

My family and I tried to come here for mothers day and just read the sign on the door saying it is closed indefinitely! OMG, it is the best p[lace in Scarborough to go to for Sushi! :( Loved the service, the food was always fresh and just everything was delicious. It is such a horrible thing about the fire :(

I love love this place... I love the service I love the cooks... Love it hands down favorite spot. I was so upset when I heard about the fire. I hope everyone is ok and they open back up. I love the food my favorite spot for sashimi. How upsetting.

I have been coming here for 10 years and this is by far the best sushi i have had. Unlike most places i go to, they do not fill you up with rolls comprised mainly of rice and a little fish.
Their food is top notch! Value is fantastic! Service always warm and welcoming!
Say what you want, but this place is always rammed-I think the demand speaks louder than any critic.
Hopefully they reopen as i do not wish to look elseware to satisfy my sushi needs:)
