New York Cafe

New York CafeNew York Cafe is a Broadview favourite despite its name. Most popular is a classic two-egg breakfast with toast, homefries, and your choice of ham, bacon, or sausage starting at $4.25 during the week. If you're really counting your pennies (or else, your carnivorous consumption) you can nix the meat and save an additional $0.30, or go the pancakes or French toast for $4.25 and $4.45 respectively.

I love the New York Cafe! A cheap and cheerful greasy spoon with a suprisingly varied menu and fabulous people-watching patio. It's nothing fancy, but it is a great neighborhood staple on the cusp of Greektown/Riverdale. The souvlaki is just as good as any of the Greek places in the area and the breakfast is simple, yummy and inexpensive.
