My Place Fish and Chips TorontoMy Place Fish and Chips is a classic, casual fish 'n chips joint in a strip mall in Scarborough. Count on pretty good bang for your buck.

Simply the best Fish & Chips I've ever had. At one time Duckworth's (both locations, each run by a brother) held that rating but not so in many years. High Street on Underhill is considered good by many but My Place is superior IMO. The batter on the fish is amazing....crisp but light. The chips are very good. Usually a meal of Fish & Chips leaves me with an unpleasant after taste from, I assume, the oil. Not here.

Hang on, is this the My Place that we used to go to in the 80s, on VP near Cassandra?? When did it move? My Place used to be on the way from our house to church (Annunciation near Ellesmere) My dad and I used to go there every Friday.

Sara, yes it is. It's still on Vic park, north of the 401, south of Sheppard. It's in a strip mall on the east side of VP,

It moved a long time ago.

Fish & chips are still the best, but I wish the wouldn't use those packets of tartar sauce. Homemade would be so much better.

Jim. I think they use a Tempura batter which makes the fish less greasy & crispier.
