Last TemptationLast Temptation is one of the quintessential Kensington Market hangouts. It's best on a sunny Summer's day, sharing a pitcher of beer among friend on the front patio. Inside, things descend into darkness (but not quite bleakness) with a bar, some tables and a fusball and pool table. The menu features a global mix of pub grub including perogies, pita pizzas, sandwiches, calamari and pad thai.

These people are my best friends, but that means nothing.
Food is excellent, great people, beer, patio and play some pool and fusball.

Try the Avocado & Brie Sandwich and the Calamari.

And the Pad Thai Rocks!

Went here with a friend and each of us got 2 things each since the prices were good (I'll try to remember the prices from a month ago). She got french onion soup ($4?) and pad thai ($8) and said both were great. I got a burger & fries ($~4) and then got pad thai ($8) after trying hers. I also got a pint of Steamwhistle, which was about $4.50, so a buck or more cheaper than most places. Our bill came out to about $35 with tip. Burger wasn't the best I've had as it was a tad dry, but otherwise the food was great, especially for the price. I don't think I saw one thing above $10 on their extensive menu.

By no means is this some four star restaurant, but this place has a good variety of foods at great prices.

A great place to barge in for drinks, all year round. The patio is cozy at best on dapper summer nights, and the back space is dimly lit for when you want to get smoshed with your buds. There's a quaint space just inside with candle-lit tables for two.

Don't mistake this for a pub. It isn't, and doesn't pretend to be. Maybe that's its appeal. Pubs are pretentious anyway. The food is cheap but mostly defrosted and sprinkled with either a little too much or not enough flavour. Great for filling up before the big dunk into inebriation, but that's about it.

$14 pitchers of Sapporo and other pale ales. Beats Red Room for atmosphere. No need to scream to have a conversation.

Best hang-out on the street, excluding that little convenience store on Augusta that sells beer.

LOVE the grilled kolbassa sandwich here... and the prices are extremely reasonable. Not the best food out there (in regards to other dishes), but it is tasty for the price. Good (cheap) beer as well. Service is always slow... never really had a great experience with that (even when it's empty). That being said, everyone there is sweet, and it's definitely a key place in Kensington to hang out at.

I just had possibly the grossest food experience ever at The Last Temptation. I ordered the perogies (have had them before, usually good). I bit into one and it was frozen, no big deal. Ask the bartender to take them back and get me cooked ones. He asks if he can try one to see if they indeed are frozen, he tries one, it's more cooked, so he TRIES THE ONE I ALREADY BIT and decrees it to be frozen. He takes them away and then 3 minutes later gives me the exact same ones back, bite marks and all. No discount, no new perogies, pure disgusting.
