The owner of this restaurant should train the staff how to treat the customers. My wife was having lunch there today with my 2 daughters, which are 3 and 6 years old. As every children, they were trying to find something to entertain themselves. So, they decided to play with the toothpicks. One of the employees, called Cristiane, was very rude to my children when asking them to stop playing with the toothpicks, which made them be very embarassed. I am not saying my kids were right, but if there was any problem, this woman should have talked to my wife instead of my so young children. My wife got realy angry, and donated 2 CAD so the restaurant could afford more toothpicks. Maybe this restaurant is not performing so well as a set of toothpicks is making a difference on the budget. What a greedy and mean behaviour from someone that might not even be a legal Canadian resident. Definitely, despite being Brazilians, we will never go back to this place anymore. By the way, the food is not even that good.

You need to teach your kids to stop putting their grubby hands on toothpicks which will go unwittingly into someone else's mouth... your bad!

I agree they were not right, but the employee should not talk in a rude way to my kids. She should have talked to my wife if there was any problem. And the employee's concern was not about hazards, but about the huge money the restaurant might pay for toothpicks...

I totally agree that being rude with kids or not talking directly with your wife is really wrong and your wife could report to the manager. But this is not at all related about they not being legal residents. Probably they are because they are consider as investor and choose to build a business in Toronto. I don't know them and never went to the place and I will someday to try the food and to observe. Actually as a friendly country for immigrants we deal with different types of people but I can't agree about your connection with the bad way this attendant talked with you kids and being Brazilian! Brazilian are investing their money in Canada when sending their children to college or university here or also for English courses, and most of the times they can't work or saving their budget because it's not allowed to. Hope you have an opportunity to know some brazilians and see that they are warm and pretty much friendly people.
