Irish Embassy

Irish EmbassyThe Irish Embassy is In a fabulous old bank building on the corner of Yonge and Wellington. This is the rowdier, sportier and even more suit filled older brother to P.J. O'Brien. The high ceilings ensure a loud evening, but the service is top notch and so is the food. Owned by the same people who bring you Shopsy's and Quinn's Steakhouse it's a good place to watch the game. Any game.

Nice try...who writes these bloody reviews.

The food is average at best and the service the same.

What really makes this place a joke is the fact that i ordered a Guinness on tap and it arrived ice cold. When I informed my server of the problem she just stared at me blankly as she had no idea what I was talking about or what the problem with an ice cold Guinness was. That's great for a place calling itself the Irish Embassy...

FAIL!

Wonderful spot. Best professional service in any irish pub in this city. ( and i have been to them all.) If you want to go to a joint and see a bunch of drunks sitting on bar stools all day - then the Irish Embassy is not for you. Food is solid - but could use a menu update... Atmosphere and decor is excellent. Excellent staff and attention to detail. Anytime i have brought guests there, all have been impressed.

Does this place have live irish music? My 23rd birthday is approaching and I would love to go to a great Irish pub. Looking for a good loud, beer mug chugging type of place. Any suggestions?
