Hockey Sushi
Hockey Sushi in Thornhill is known for having service a bit on the slight side, but the quality of the grub makes up for it. A large party room downstairs is ideal for bigger groups. They have a great selection of hand rolls, udon, teppanyaki, and maki. Try the flying fish roe salad.

If you are a 'sushi luncher' and don't know a california roll from grade-A Otoro then stick to Hockey. If on the other hand, you want a sushi as it was meant to be, go to Tomo.
Is Far pricier but any self respecting foodie knows fresh fish is an expensive delicacy, especially in landlocked Toronto... the great lakes don't count - Tuna (all types), clams, shrimp, grouper are deep salt water species and Salmon are more likely caught on West Coast... Good sushi requires fresh fish - which means from boat-to-plane-to-plate = $$$...
