The tempura and dumplings had been cooked in over-used oil. The batter on the shrimp was excessive, I had to break 3/4 of it off to get it into the dipping bowl. The salad dressing was unpalatable, and the rice was old.
Service was friendly, but the kitchen was slow... and they forgot our wakame salad.
Also, they brought out my wife's rolls, and then my sashimi platter came about 10 minutes later
Overall, though, the food was pretty good. Nice miso soup, and the medium sashimi platter has a lot of variety for $15... including a generous serving of octopus.
Sleeman Cream Ale is also charged at the domestic price... so that was good.
From a suply & demand perspective, this is the best shushi place around. To be fair, it really is the only one around.
All told, though, we'll be back. A, it's at the end of our street; B, it was packed with local families; and, C, the beef teryaki came out on a sizzling skillet that looked amazing.
