Govardhan Thal
Govardhan Thal is a vegetarian restaurant that serves home-cooked Gujarati Indian food. A far cry from the creamy curries on meat that many associate with mainstream Indian cuisine, this place specializes in tasty vegetarian dishes: spinach, chickpeas, lentils, and tomatoes to name a few, all lovingly blended with strong tasting spices, and in an all-you-can-eat buffet offering with small metal plates. Don't forget to try their khaman, a sweet and salty snack concoction made from (what else?) chickpeas.

This place is not recommended at all. Terrible old cold food is served, at their both location Etobicoke and Scarborough. Don’t surprise if you end up in hospital from food poisoning after having food at this place. The owner shouts and insults at customer if customer asks for fresh food or even water refill. The interact machine is always out of order, to generate tax free cash money from Customer. (They charge tax to the customer in cash payment, and denied to provide receipt so the owner can avoid paying tax to government.). BOTH LOCATIONS OF THIS RESTAURANT ARE NOT RECOMMENDED.
I arranged new year party at Albion-Etobicoke location and was completely satisfied with service and welcome we got from staff and owner.All invitees enjoyed lot.Food was hot and fresh and there was plenty of different variety.I Strongly recommend this place as first choice for Gujarati food in GTA.
