Georgia Restaurant
Georgia Restaurant is a new Georgian (the former Soviet Republic country, not the American southern state where housing is cheap) restaurant located close to Finch and Dufferin. With heavy draperies and decorations reminiscent of old Tsar-like dining environments, this is the place to go to sample this rather exotic cuisine, such as the chakapuli (braised lamb) or the ghomi (which the menu rather interestingly describes as "the Georgian equivalent of an Italian polenta or Romanian mamaligusta served with slices of suluguni" - I'm convinced. I'll take two). It's barely visible from the main road though, so a little exploring is in order.

Reserved a table for 4 on Aug 11, 2012 over the phone and was turned down at the entrance because we were 5 minutes late and our table was given to someone else! Very unpolite host told us that because we were late and there were a line-up we lost our reservation. At the time of our arrival nobody was even waiting and we actually ware waiting 10 minutes before somebody even noticed us!
We never see such redicoluos excuse and will never go there again!

People who post negative comments are either completely unfamiliar with the culture, or simply never attempted to cook Georgian food in Canada with local ingredients and spices. Hence, their comments can be simply ignored.
Our family cooks Georgian food at home, we are from there and I have to say that at this place they managed to get as close as possible to how it is done back home.
Out of other "Georgian" restaurants around the city I would recommend this place.
