I had a great lunch there on the patio last summer. Not the best place on the planet, but certainly pretty good. And a little bit above average for Roncesvalles Ave offerings.

An excellent and comfortable back patio provides a great place to enjoy a beer and a wrap. Their beer choices, are decent, especially among the bottles. You can find some Church Key brews, which is not exactly common in this city.

Their food quality went a bit wobbly when they opened the 2 additional locations, but I think they've returned to form when they added the nice fish and meat from Beretta farms.

Their fries kick ass, and come with a variety of mayos.

I miss the pizzas on the menu. Those were good, nice and wood-fired.

I went there last night with my family and I'm never going back. It was an hour until my mom went in to find out where our food was, the waiter didn't even acknowledge we weren't being served. He claimed the orders were really backed up. When our food finally came which was well over an hour..it wasn't even good!! To think we would give them the benefit of the doubt..This is supposed to be fresh organic food? My steak was burnt badly I asked for med. rare and my meat was grey!! the mashed potatoes were melted practically and the side pasta salad tasted old. My sister got these crispy chips which are just toasted tortilla chips and they were charred!! She even said the salad had a burnt taste to it. My mom claimed her pasta was alright but nothing special and my dad's fries on the side were soggy. Even when my mom ordered tea the water hadn't been boiled it was luke warm water! At least they knew how to make lemonade ;) They ended up taking 15% off our bill which was nice..maybe they were having a really bad night..but from slow service to shitty food..not worth trying it again. Needless to say the following morning my stomach showed me how FRESH the food was..ugh.

I have to say, I want to like the Freshwood, I like their menu and the atmos works for me. But, I have been there more than a few times, and I just can't take the long wait anymore. I really have no f'ing clue what the cooks are doing there, I always seem to wait an intolerable amount of time for food.. busy or slow.

I haven't gone to this particular location and it seems like the majority of the comments are not enjoying the restaurant. There's also one in Kensington Market and the times I've gone to that one it's been fine.
