Chako Restaurant

Posted by Staff / Listed on October 24, 2011 / review policy

Chako TorontoChako not only offers unlimited table top grilling but also an AYCE Japanese menu. It also serve its pitchers in mini-kegs, so bonus marks for presentation of alcohol. Quality here is garden variety at best, yellow tinted chicken breasts and unknown grade beef. Kalbi is available but decidedly hit or miss. The sushi is nothing to write home about either, but the fun, contemporary interior makes it a unique KBBQ experience.

Wow… where do i begin. This is by far worst KBBQ ever. They cannot even call it KBBQ. I have lived in Seoul, Korea and I know what BBQ is supposed to be. This is nothing but crap. Side dishes were awful, meat was hard and seasoned with wrong seasoning, (almost curry like), rice from sushi kept falling apart. The only good this was the mango ice cream. Im sorry but if you are looking for a KBBQ in Richmondhill area check out Bulgogi bros. Its a good chain from Korea and the quality is far better for Korean food. If you wanna eat hard meat with curry spice then by all means check out this restaurant.

Chako WAS a good place. Went last week and its gone downhill: poor food quality, badly made sushi, warm beer, very slow service for a weekday evening, very dirty under the tables, servers who magically dont speak english when you ask why the order has taken over 20 minutes, and some type of extra service charge or gratuity for the managers. This place has become a rip-off and legalized highway robbery. Do not waste your money or time with any of the Chako locations, the owners have clearly lost their marbles and do not understand Canada, they think they are above the law. What losers.

No web site.
Guess they're not too happy with what they have to offer.
