Captain John's Fish and Chips (Donlands)

Rating: 1.8/5 (11 votes)

Captain Johns TorontoCaptain John's is a sea (pun intended) of blue, complete with marine décor, exposed brick, and open cooking area. The cook, who was wearing the stereotypical while apron with grease stains, was listening to a customer's rant about his grandkids when I walked in, all to the cackle of deep-frying fish. Captain John offers halibut and chips ($10.85) and more, including shrimp, calamari, scallops and--gyro?

The fish and chips are delicious as is the greek salad! Put this on your must try restaurants and you'll be going back for more.

It's pretty good fish and chips, not the absolute best but for a neighborhood place I like it. Could be cheaper though. The man working there is very friendly which is a big plus.
