Bombay Palace (Markham Road)

Posted by Darren "DKLo" Susilo / Listed on June 12, 2012 / review policy

Bombay Palace Markham Road Bombay Palace is a long-standing Indian all-you-can-eat buffet that has recently undergone a complete facelift, with new management and refurbished interior. Other than the buffet table, which is always popular with the locals, the restaurant also offers catering services as well as a party room for your special events. The place isn't fancy, but the recent renovations have made the interior a lot more spacious and inviting for families. With reasonable prices starting at just under $11 for lunch any day of the week, this is definitely a place to stop by and try out when you're craving a huge serving of hot curry over a warm naan bread.

I was surprised about how saeedndd I was to read of the closing of Borders. Yes, I do own an e reader and love it when I travel or am waiting in an office for an appointment but I really enjoy my hard or soft cover books be it while sitting by the pool, exercising on my bike or that last half hour before bedtime. Indeed, my favorite room in my house is the small den loaded with too many books on too many book shelves which I treasure. Sadly, I won't be able to take a quick ride to Borders on a slow, rainy day just to browse and subsequently come home with a bag full of books. I, too, will miss Borders. The sad part of technology, I guess.
