Astoria

AstoriaProbably the best-known Greek restaurant on the Danforth, Astoria's secret to great souvlaki comes down to their blend of spices, large portions and fresh ingredients. Eating here feels like I'm sitting I'm in a Greek village. A souvlaki dinner served with salad, rice and roast potatoes sets me back between $10 -$15.

great food, very shabby service--I ordered the grilled shrimp and greek salad and it was to die for. My date ordered chicken souvlaki on a pita and greek fries and he was extremely pleased too. However; to get a drink was harder than pulling teeth, much less a refill--he would've had a second Caesar if he could've gotten a hold of the waitstaff. We never found out who our server was...

This place is way too over priced for the awfully bland and tasteless food they serve. I paid $15 for one chicken skewer and some rice that tasted like nothing. I could have made a better meal at home. Definitely not going back there again.

Astoria? Are you kidding me!!! What about Mezes and Pantheon? Astoria is by far the worst on the D for food and service. What kind of picture is that anyways?
