Amaya Express (Ossington)

Amaya ExpressAmaya Express is continuing its domination of Toronto with something Lower Ossington sorely lacked - a place to grab tasty Indian eats. Food here is best grabbed to go but there are plenty of tables to sit at to mop up that butter chicken with a fresh piece of naan.

Watered down korma and butter chicken. Puréed beyond recognition paneer. Extremely unimpressed. Sad because was hoping for a local go to Indian place.

Good to know! I got quite ill after eating delivery from that Amaya Express just a couple of weeks before the DineSafe inspection. (At the time, I couldn't be certain that I was ill from them, as I had also had lunch out that day. But now I'm absolutely certain, given the DineSafe report and the fact that the place I had lunch is somewhere I go to at least twice a week and have never once had problems.)

I'm never ordering from Amaya again -- EVER!!!
