Acme Burger (Bloor Street)

Posted by Staff / Listed on July 20, 2009 / review policy

Acme BurgerAcme Burger near Bloor and Bathurst is the second outpost of the uber-popular orginal Acme on the Queensway. The burgers and fries here might not be organic (and therefore its hard to classify this place as a member of the gourmet burger movement) but they're still a definite step up from the usual fast food joints.

Its ironic that ACME Burger does so much business from the after hours bar crowd when you consider that it serves only HALAL beef in its burger with "Halal chicken available on request" - i.e. ACME Burger is Sharia compliant. Under Sharia / HALAL laws alcohol is forbidden.

Halal involves cruel inhuman methods of slaughter (animals are not stunned before having their throats slit) as well as payments to Islamic organizations connected with terrorism.

If you are opposed to animal cruelty and Islamic terrorism BOYCOTT ACME Burgers!
