Abbot on the Hill

Posted by Staff / Reviewed on June 8, 2009

Abbot on the HillAbbot on the Hill is a quaint pub that has the feeling of a Trappist monastery. They have 17 beers on tap and another 17 in bottles, all of which are European imports. The British ale houses are well represented here (Fullers, Old Speckled Hen, etc.) but French, German and Dutch selections also make an appearance. The pub is one of only two places in Toronto that serve Abbot Ale on tap.

Is thisreally true? As far as I can tell, this review is almost entirely inaccurate. The menu has prices on it and there are plenty of Euro beers, especially in bottles.

Review is not accurate. Food is excellent and there are many beers on tap that you cannot find on draft anywhere else in the city. One of the best burgers in the city.

Some updates have been made to the profile to correct some earlier statements that were a bit misleading.

This place is awesome. I come here once every couple weeks or so. The food is excellent, fries are hand made, food is quality and affordable. Servers never smile or joke, which I always found odd, but service is good, and atmosphere is relaxed and laid back. Thumbs up all around.
