A Dark HorseA Dark Horse is a fairly large English restaurant and bar in the heart of the Bloor West Village. Nicely equipped with a large patio, dark wooden interior and a healthy selection of spirits, wines and ales.

The place has a great atmosphere, lots of beers to choose from and great friendly service. I heard of the place through friends, just wished they played some live tunes.

My first time here was a mess. A friend ordered bruschetta last week and found a hair. The waitress came back and we told her. She said "Oh, I'm sorry! Let me get that out of your way." That's it. She came back with our bills and had the nerve to charge her for the food. I asked her where the discount was or why she had not had the food remade and she said it was because "there was no manager on duty". Ridiculous. It was lunch time-you have NO manager? Really? Well I'm sure someone had the authority to make a decision. Not returning and not recommending.

Great patio in the summertime, try the club or the fish and chips!

I would never go to this pub again which is unfortunate since they have a nice patio in the summertime. But after sitting there being totally ignored as staff kept going by me, and serving people who came in after me, that was it for me. Have never been back and never will. I wrote a letter to the manager but of course received no reply.
