Abstract Tree
Abstract Tree is a new restaurant in Roncesvalles offering a selection of beef, lamb and fish for $10-20 a plate (there is also one vegetarian option). I haven't eaten there yet, but what definitely catches my eye is a wide selection of wine (18 red and 10 white) for the reasonable restaurant price of $25 a bottle. Abstract Tree is open 5-12 Wednesday through Sunday.

This restaurant is NOT CLOSED. The owners relocated down the street, where there is more foot-traffic, and seems to be doing well there ... try the chicken schnitzel.

They re-opened in January 2010, under the same name 'The Abstract Tree' and are now located at 133 Roncesvalles Avenue, at Garden Ave - next to the venerable Polish bakery - BENNA's.
The decor is modern, and there is outdoor dining in the cozy backyard patio when the weather is nice.

I ate in the restaurant in its previous location (it was newly opened) in April 2008. Nice ambience, and food - lamb being my favourte.
Look forward to going there again when I visit from the UK in May 2011 !

I really thought this was a horrible restaurant im used to dinning at the best restaurats and this one is garbage the cook cant cook and the owner runns around like crazy try hiring some people and find a good chef

Unfortunately the newer Abstract Tree location is now closed.

I only went to this restaurant once, but I had a wonderful experience here. It's a shame so many people thought this place was awful, considering how polite and diligent the service was (at least when I was there). Not only that but the food was delicious (the Red Borsche and Hungarian Potato Pancake Goulash were amazing) and surprisingly cheap.

Why was it so awful? Personally I had a great experience here so what set your experience apart from the others? Just curious.
