Hoofing it all the way up from Portland, Oregon, The Decemberists will be welcomed with open arms tonight at The Sound Academy, as they continue to tour and promote their latest album, The King is Dead. The critics and fans alike are saying it's vastly different from their previous release, The Hazards of Love. See what you think at tonight's show! Wye Oak will be opening.

MUSIC | Lynch Mob (ft. George Lynch) w/ Three Quarter Stone/Bone Trigger
Former Dokken guitarist, George Lynch has kept Lynch Mob going throughout the years, the good, the bad and the beautiful. After a lengthy hiatus, believe it or not, they are back with a new album, Smoke and Mirrors. Catch Lynch Mob tonight at the Rockpile supported by Three Quarter Stone and Bone Trigger. Let's get dirty people.

THEATRE | Family Story
The dynamic duo of Aurora and Nika that make up Birdtown and Swanville are known for putting on imaginative theatre productions in non-traditional spaces, such as back alleys, and bars. Their latest production, Family Story kicks off tonight with a series of shows at Double Double Land in Kensington Market. If you crave theatre done a little differently and with a helluva lot of originality, make sure to get there before the 13th, when the show ends.

ART | Good Art Good Soul
A new exhibit is opening at Twist Gallery on Queen West, a gallery that is known to have some of the most eclectic and electrifying art collections come through its doors. Running until the 26th of February will be Good Art Good Soul, featuring the works of four artists: Caleb Inhyuck, Henna Kim, Kyungmin Lee and Song Yi Song.
