Radar: The Russian Futurists Release Party, Impulse 2010, The Big Kiss in Dundas Square, Artist Proof Sale & Open House

MUSIC | The Russian Futurists the weight's on the wheels Release Party
The Russian Futurists are doing what any smart band should, and supporting their recent release, the Weight's on the Wheels, with a killer show circuit. Tonight they are returning to the mothership for their official release party at Wrongbar. They've been garnering all sorts of great buzz lately from the likes of Spin, Radio 3, KEXP and even the Globe and Mail who said, "Listeners are engaged, blessed and never let go...35 minutes of silver-pop uplift and aural synthetic caffeine." Special guests DVAS will be supporting.
Wrongbar (1279 Queen Street West), 9pm $10 adv, $12 door 19+

DANCE | Impulse 2010
With a 40-year history, The School of Toronto Dance Theatre is passionately committed to fostering the love of contemporary dance in young people. The Impulse program is a great (and affordable) way to see some of the company's most promising up-and-coming dancers, front and centre stage. The show will feature over 50 dancers performing the works of prominent choreographers including Valerie Calam, Allison Cummings and Danny Grossman. These dancers are no joke, and Impulse is a great chance to catch them before they become the big dancers of tomorrow.
Winchester Street Theatre (80 Winchester Street), 8pm $19, $15 students

LOVE | The Big Kiss in Dundas Square
What's the best part of Christmas you may ask? Sure the food is delish but what about the mistletoe? Everyone loves a good smooch while the chestnuts roast and the fire roars. Newmindspace, the trailblazers of interactive public art are bringing the largest mistletoe ever to Dundas Square tonight. And to make those kisses result in more than butterflies, Virgin will donate $5 for each kiss under the mistletoe to WWF-Canada. If you don't have a lover to kiss, do not fret, teddy bears, mobile phones, even your new winter boots are welcome.
Yonge-Dundas Square 6pm

ART | Artist Proof Sale & Open House
Are you one of those individuals who puts all sorts of pressure on yourself to find the most unique, most awesome gift for friends and loved ones? If that's the case, The Artist Proof Sale & Open House could be just your cup of tea. It is kicking off tonight with it's opening reception, where artists pieces will be featured and available for sale. Although it will be running until December 18th, there has been known to be tug of wars over certain pieces in past years, so it is recommended to show up early. This is the perfect place to find something special for your someone special.
Open Studio (401 Richmond Street West), 6-9pm PWYC ($10 recommended)
