Radar: By Divine Right & Friends, Heavy Metal Dance Party (for Charity), PWYC Weds with Knock Knock Ginger, Bang the Box, In the Bleak Midwinter

MUSIC | By Divine Right & Friends at The Drake
This evening continues BDR's three-Wednesdays-in-a-row run at The Drake, with a beautiful gathering of musical friends keeping close company. Tonight, Nordic Nomadic, The Skeletones Four, and The Luyas will warm up the room before our headliner takes the stage. Does one really need an excuse to catch TO's real-deal indie/alt-rock veterans? Not really, but just knowing that tonight BDR will be churning out your faves from their 1999 "Bless This Mess" release should seal the deal.
The Drake Hotel (1150 Queen Street West), 9PM $10

CLUBS | Heavy Metal Dance Party (for Charity)
It's the time of the season...to party! But it's even more festive and seasonal to party for charity! That's DJ Nina Arson's promise: she is donating tonight's tips to an as-of-yet undisclosed charity. Tonight's musical menu features a sumptuous Metal smorgabord, so get those devil's horns a-tweaking, and your benevolent booties to the Bovine!
Bovine Sex Club (542 Queen Street West), 9PM FREE

MUSIC | PWYC Weds w/ Knock Knock Ginger
The time has come: the final PWYC Wednesday of 2010. Tonight's headliners are Knock Knock Ginger, returning to Rancho Relaxo after a long absence, and ready to rock. Newcomers, Free Cloud, and two-piece Horses About Men round out what will be a great lineup to end a year of cutting edge Wednesday night showcases.
Rancho Relaxo (300 College Street) 9PM PWYC

CLUBS | Bang The Box: Christmas Party
A collective of DJs and promoters have put together what promises to be a killin' bash tonight! Cutting edge tastemakers like Sara Simms, Riviera, Decklyn Dubs, Ultragamma, and more will be assembling to keep electro-energy levels high all night. There are also some awesome raffle prizes to be won from sponsors like Moog Audio, Pioneer DJ, The Keg, and Starbucks, just to name a few.
Blondies (1378 Queen Street West), 9PM $5

ART | In The Bleak Midwinter at The Gladstone Hotel
Room 202 at The gladstone will be transformed by Washingon DC native, Patty Zuver, who now calls Toronto home. This afternoon her installation "In The Bleak Midwinter", being dubbed "an environment", will open, revealing a unique perspective on Canada's favourite season.
The Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen Street West) 12PM FREE
