Radar: The Wilderness of Manitoba, One of a Kind Christmas Show, Movember Gala Party, Give a Night

MUSIC I The Wilderness of Manitoba + Leif Vollebekk + Olenka & The Autumn Lovers
With inspiration like the great outdoors, African teas, longing and loving, it's no wonder The Wilderness of Manitoba produces such a unique and beautiful sound. Their debut full-length, When You Left The Fire is an album so honest, magical and brilliant in folk, that if you're a skeptic to this genre of music, it might just be the one to sway you. They're playing tonight at a fitting venue, The Horseshoe, with support from Montreal's Leif Vollebekk and London's Olenka & The Autumn Lovers.
The Legendary Horseshoe Tavern (368 Queen Street West) 8:30pm, $10 19+

SHOPPING I One of a Kind Christmas Show
Kicking off tonight is the annual One of Kind Christmas Show, the perfect place to find anything and everything for that special person this holiday season. Instead of defaulting to the standard socks and gift certificates, which your relatives must just adore, why not see if you can make them shed tears of joy with your envious gift giving skills this holiday season. The One of a Kind Show features over 800 artisans, showcasing their handmade gems. You'll be sure to up your ranks in the office Secret Santa pool this year.
Direct Energy Centre, Exhibition Place, 10am-9pm $10 or 12 at the door

MOVEMBER I Toronto Movember Gala PartĂŠ
With the month of Movember winding down, staches across the country are reaching their fullness maximus all while raising mo'money for Prostate Cancer Canada. In celebration of such a beautifully bushy month, gala parties are being held tonight from Victoria to Halifax and mo'cities in between. Toronto's party is sure to be the pinnacle of duster pride. Gentlemen, come dressed to suit your Mo, and ladies come dressed to match your Mo Bro. A night filled with friendly competition, awards for best-dressed, all in support of such a great cause.
The Guvernment (132 Queens Quay Boulevard) 8pm $10

FUNDRAISER I Give a Night
Last year, over 700 people attended Give a Night, a fundraising event benefiting the Give a Day campaign. This campaign encourages those in the medical and legal professions to donate a day's pay to World AIDS. All proceeds from this event go to two charities with strong Canadian ties: The Stephen Lewis Foundation and Dignitas International. Tonight will be a celebration to raise both awareness and funds. And if that doesn't pull you in, rumour is the auction is out of this world. Can you say five-night trip to B.C.? Hockey tickets, golf packages -- oh my.
This is London (364 Richmond Street West) 8pm $20 advance, $25 at the door
