Radar: Free Concert by The Stills, No Heart Feelings Premiere, Dance Armstrong, Dance In My Backyard!, The Specials Make-up Date, Holy Adam West, Batman!

FILM | No Heart Feelings Premiere
So many movies are made in Toronto, but either it's not a big deal, or it's disguised as New York (exception of course being Scott Pilgrim vs The World). Well there's one that was not only shot here, but is also almost like a character in the movie. No Heart Feelings is the shoestring-budget debut feature from Sarah Lazarovic, Geoff Morrison and Ryan J. Noth and centers around being in your late 20's and living around Little Italy. Fitting then that it's premiere is at The Royal where it will be showing all week, but if you come opening night you get free valet bike parking and tune-ups courtesy of The Bike Joint.
The Royal Cinema, 608 College St, $10, 9pm

MUSIC | The Stills
Tonight The Stills are performing for free as part of a weekend concert series in the Distillery District called Lexus Live at the Distillery. They'll be on stage from 8-9pm followed by three more free concerts later this weekend by Lily Frost (Saturday 12-1pm), The Midway State (Saturday 5-6pm) and The Paper Lions (Sunday 3-4pm). Complimentary refreshments will be served and Lexus will be there showcasing two prototype vehicles including the Lexus CT 200h hybrid. For complete details check out this event page.

PARTY | Dance Armstrong
As if Clinton's didn't already host the best dance parties in the city (Shake a Tail & Boy Girl Party to name a few) they've got a brand new one from the people that brought you The Hit Parade and Yacht Rock. This one's awesomely named Dance Armstrong and they're just going to bring you music that makes you want to dance like a champion, no matter the genre. Expect to hear anything from The Beatles to Hot Chip - anything that makes you feel like a winner. An ego boosting dance party sounds just about right to me.
Clintons, 693 Bloor St W, $5, 10pm

DANCE | Dance In My Backyard!
It's no secret that dance shows can be kind of a stuffy environment. Either they're in some space thats up it own butt, or a theatre that feels to good for you - most of the time. Eroca Nicols noticed this and created Dance In My Backyard, a way to make contemporary dance accessible. This weekend marks the third anniversary of the festival, bringing dancers from all over Canada to the backyard of 171 Havelock St. Write that address down and make sure you have the right house before you go waltzing into someone else's backyard. You don't want to get yelled at!
171 Havelock St, $10, 7:30pm

MUSIC | The Specials Make-up Date
Was anyone else excited for ska legends The Specials show back in April, until it got postponed last minute due to "an emergency medical ailment"? Well hopefully you held onto those tickets because you're patience has paid off - they're actually at the Sound Academy tonight! Your tickets from April will be honored tonight, but not at their second show tomorrow (also at Sound Academy) so make sure you don't get mixed up! You wouldn't want The Specials to disappoint you twice in one year. What band disappoints you twice in one year?
Sound Academy, 11 Polson St, $38, 8pm

FILM | Holy Adam West, Batman!
When people think of their favourite Batmans, you usually get Christian Bale or Michael Keaton. Most people forget, or choose to forget, the original Batman TV series from the 60's staring Adam West. A lot of people also forget that the TV series spawned the first ever Batman movie in '66. It features The Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman and Joker all teaming up together trying to get rid of Batman and his sidekick Robin. The newly opened Toronto Underground Cinema is showing this movie tonight with non other than Adam West in attendance. He'll be doing a Q&A afterwards so you can ask him anything about the movie or what it's like to be so openly mocked by everyone.
Toronto Underground Cinema, 186 Spadina Ave, $25, 8pm
