Why YOU should walk with us

Walk for the Children puts a unique spin on your typical fundraising walk. Registered participants don’t have to pound the pavement of city streets or even race to the finish. Instead, families can spend the day together, going at their own pace through one of Canada’s top tourist destinations that includes the highly anticipated Panda exhibit! Kids get a special “explorer passport” and collect stamps along the route, adding to their sense of adventure. The walk ends at the Savannah Picnic site with a party including bbq goodies, live children’s entertainment, games, gifts, great prizes and more.

All proceeds from this event go to the Herbie Fund. Our mission is to bring children from around the world to SickKids hospital for life-saving or life-altering surgeries that are not available in their home countries because of high costs and lack of medical expertise. Since its inception in 1979, Herbie Fund’s healing hands have changed the lives of more than 700 children from over 100 countries around the world.
