Evgeny Kissin

Roy Thomson Hall presents

Evgeny Kissin rarely performs in Canada as a solo artist. So it’s all the more exciting that this iconic pianist will make his first recital appearance at Roy Thomson Hall in 15 years.

Few artists are declared “a living legend,” and fewer still at the age of 43. But the Russian-born superstar has an enthralling stage presence that the world clamors to hear – and proclaim.

His last performance on the Grammy Awards was seen by over one billion people and he was the first pianist ever invited to give a recital at the BBC Proms. He’s also won the most prestigious awards in existence, including the Herbert von Karajan Music Prize and the Shostakovitch Award.
