Flock to the Windup Bird where storytellers Diana Tso and Rubena Singha welcome Duke Redbird as he weaves folklore from his Saugeen ancestry into a discussion of the modern local food movement.

A poet, scholar, storyteller, inspirational speaker and television personality, Duke is a member of the Saugeen First Nation. He is the author of a collection of poetry and has been published in numerous anthologies including textbooks in Canada and the United States. In addition to holding a master’s degree, Redbird is a Fellow of McLaughlin College at York University and has served as Senior Associate of the York Centre for Applied Sustainability.

Join us for an evening of storytelling, poetry, and a discussion on what local food truly means, as we cook up a 3-course dinner using Ontario's native plants and game.
