They carry more people so the TTC has cut service on routes that now use these articulated vehicles. I'm waiting now 15-20 min. for a bus during rush hour on the #7 Bathurst route, where it used to be no more than 10. They also seem to take longer for pickup/drop off and the drivers have more difficulty pulling back into traffic. Hate these things.

The picture is of the new streetcar and you are ranting about the new articulated buses. Wrong place bud

well the fewer buses and streetcars can be blamed on Rob Ford cutting the budget.
the new streetcars don't pull to the curb so they don't have to get back out into traffic and on Spadina they have their own right of way and don't share it with cars and they have many doors down the side all of which will be used for loading and unloading (much like the subway) and no steps to slow one down.

so the new RED DRAGONS as I've heard them called will be a real improvement in service.
now to get enough money to buy more and run them closer together and get the cars off the tracks and we could have a real system of fast reliable transportation.

I for one can't wait for them to go in service.

It's the same wait times on the 7 Bathurst bus, it's always been anywhere from 5-30 minutes. Same on the 29 Dufferin, they haven't altered service it's just shitty traffic

But you speak as if these are on the roads in use? How can make these statements about something that doesn't even exist in our daily lives?

What a nightmare unless on a dedicated right-of-way.

So, leave your cars at home, ride the red dragon....instead, catch up on reading, emails, etc.

TTC says they won't cut streetcar services as much as they did on the 7 Bathurst. There would be definitely less streetcars on the road.

The articulated buses made Bathurst worst than it was before. The short turns continue but there are less buses on the route. Dufferin has twice as much on the route. Articulated buses would be better on Dufferin than Bathurst. I rather see them moved to the 196 instead.

I've never had an issue on the #7 route. The buses come just as often as they used to except now the buses aren't as crowded! It's perfect! The one main difference I've noticed is during that 2 AM time when people are coming home from clubs. Previously, I couldn't even get on a bus, it was so full. Now, with the double buses, there is always room!! If they cut some of the Bathurst buses, it certainly hasn't been enough to make me notice and I ride the 7 buses daily.
LOVE THIS!
