Boy, do I wish that this 'newspaper' would jut give up the ghost and be gone-then Toronto would be able to progress further than ever.

A rally against a newspaper existing. Now there's people with nothing better to do. Who cares!!??!! It's just a bloody newspaper. If they don't like it, don't READ IT! DUH! I don't myself. Are people just getting that desperate to find something to whine about?

I believe they were protesting racism in the Sun paper, as you can see from the sign one person is holding up.

Kind of ironic considering the natives are some of the most racist people in Canada.

Um...yeah. A newspaper is holding Toronto back...right.

Even if one held this rather ill-thought out view, do you think that maybe the people who READ the Sun might be what is holding Toronto back. And that, maybe, even when the Sun goes out, they'll still be around. And voting.

Geeze, this democracy stuff sucks when you don't get your way, huh?

He's right. You won't notice it much living in Toronto, but you'd find that out pretty quickly if you ever worked on one of those isolated reserves up in Northern Ontario or in Nunavut.

Ha, if anyone in Canada has earned the right to be racist, it's the native population, with good reason. That said, broad strokes hardly ever paint the full picture.

As for the Sun, politics aside, it's just a crummy news outlet. Why do I need news on a celebrity's boobs next to the story on international affairs? A strong, well written Tory paper would be excellent for Toronto, but TO-conservatives seem to prefer bandwagon populism to intelligent analysis. It's a shame really.
